Dr. Diedrichs was selected as a recipient of one of this year's Barbara Martin Aphasia Research Grants, sponsored by the National Aphasia Association and the Academy of Aphasia. The funded project will examine the feasibility and proof-of-concept for conducting a larger scale clinical trial incorporating spaced retrieval into script training and using functional near-infrared spectroscopy to study its effect on brain activity.
Dr. Diedrichs presented work on test-retest reliability of functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) in people with post-stroke aphasia.
